I found this through del.icio.us. A blog post about Dan Radcliffe where a young woman laments the fact that he’s underage. To that end, she has created a countdown clock to his eighteenth birthday when she can “legally seduce him”.
Sick, sick, sick, but funny, funny, funny.
I made two more desktop wallpapers recently, so I thought I’d share them. I called this post “Wallpaper For Heroes”, because the wallpapers are about our very human hero, Harry Potter (with lyrics from the song “Superman” by Five For Fighting) and a not-so-human hero, Buckbeak aka Witherwings.
The New York City premiere was decidedly less fashionable than the London Premiere. Apparently someone decided that blue was the color for the trio to wear. Dan Radcliffe had on a blue suit with an electric blue tie, the whole getup making him look more or less like a corpse. Emma Watson was wearing a dark blue 50’s style dress which featured a skirt that looked like a down comforter. Rupert Grint was wearing a blue military style jacket, crappy jeans, and worn out sneakers. Like at the London premiere, he looked like a homeless Vietnam Vet.
I guess they can’t be on their game all the time.
Dan Radcliffe loves the VIP room it seems:
“[He] spent the whole evening in the VIP room instead of mingling with the children,” a sour snitch sniffs to the paper. “He just couldn’t tear himself away from the private room which had been turned into a banqueting hall with spooky lighting, crystal chandeliers and huge glittering Christmas trees.”
While Rupert Grint is more fan-friendly:
All was not lost for the young fans, however. The paper says carrot-topped Rupert Grint, who plays Ron Weasley, was only too happy to meet and greet the tykes, signing autographs and smiling for pictures.

I found a new Harry Potter clip on the Ellen DeGeneres show website. I don’t think it’s been seen before. It’s Harry and Hermione before the first task. It’s a really good clip, and I’ll just say that if the whole movie is like this clip, it’ll be awesome. Actually this clip almost made me cry. It’s very effecting. Click here to watch.
I saw the post headline on BoingBoing and I couldn’t resist sharing here.
It seems that MIT has implemented an opt-in mapping system that works with their on-campus network and produces a map very similar to the Marauder’s Map. Cool.
CNN article for those geeky enough to be interested.
CanMag has a complete list of U.S. television appearances by the cast of Goblet of Fire leading up to the November 18th premiere.

I have a couple more desktop wallpapers today, both of Dumbledore. Caution that one is a spoiler for HBP, but I figure it’s been several months now, and if you don’t know about the shocking event that happened in the book, you probably don’t care.
I finished watching the live netcast of the Goblet of Fire premiere in London just a while ago. It was pretty neat to be able to see all the actors on the red (green, actually, in this case) carpet.
The actors answered some brief questions, and showed off their premiere clothes for the press. I think the best dress of the evening is a tie between Emma Watson who wore a cream and pink vintage 1920’s dress and Clemence Poesy (Fleur Delacour), who wore a French gown in a sort of empire style. But everyone looked great.
One thing that annoyed me was that Madonna showed up at the premiere with her daughter, which is great, but they cut away from both Emma Watson and Rupert Grint’s interviews to show her. I don’t think most Potter fans watching the premiere were interested in seeing Madonna; they wanted to see the actors from the film.
They are rebroadcasting the premiere if anyone wants to catch it. Just click this link (broadband connection required).
Update: You can see a great picture of Emma Watson’s dress at MuggleThai. If I see one of Clemence Poesy, I’ll try to link to that too.
Update # 2: And here’s a link to Clemence Poesy’s dress courtesy of DanRadcliffe.co.uk.
