Open Sesame

Just want to let everyone know that the secret door at J.K. Rowling’s official site is open. Periodically, Rowling opens the door and it usually contains small clues pertaining to the book she’s currently working on. The door usually remains open only for a limited period of time, so go check it out now. To get to the door, click on the eraser on her desk. From that point, you’re on your own!
UPDATE: The instructions on how to crack the door are now in the comments. Read at your own risk!

I can get through the eraser portkey, but the door won’t open.

Ok, I’ll help you out. WARNING! The following is a spoiler!!! WARNING!
Look at the vase under the window next to the door. Are the flowers blooming? If not, clear your browser’s cache and try again. When they are blooming, click around the base of the vase and you should find a rock. Drag the rock over to the mirror. It will break the mirror. You should see a key. Put the key in the lock to the door, and then pick up the note that’s right next to where the key was. It will tell you to repair the mirror. Do so by typing “reparo”. When the mirror is repaired, click on the open door in the mirror; it will close and the real door will open! Inside you’ll find an above view of Jo’s desk. See the black thing with the gold needle? Drag the needle to point straight up. Something cool will happen.

I hadn’t thought about the fact that it might be a game. I thought finding the eraser/portkey was the trick.

i get as far as repairing the mirror, then the note refuses to go away ! and clicking at the door doesnt help ? haha

its just the button that closes the note ? anyway, have you guys gone to the rubbish bin b4 ? check out the pens, click on one and it breaks and some kinda message spills out. really strange. go check it out ! =D

to get the flowers to bloom, you need to add a specific number of drops of each potion (red and green) to the plant pot. I have not been able to find the rock to break the mirror but I’ve been trying for ages!
No idea what the spell is that appears from the broken pen on the rubbish bin page, any ideas anyone?

trickyart, I don’t think you can find the rock anymore. The WOMBAT test is over. I’ll have to check the site again. I don’t remember what i’ve done and haven’t. (referring to your broken pen problem)
