Poor Harry?
This is for everyone who is complaining about JK possibly killing off Harry in her books.
I would like to take this opportunity to remind everyone that these are HER books and not yours, this is coming from her creative mind and if her plotline includes the death of some of our favorite characters that is for her to choose not you. If you don’t like it, its simple DON’T READ THE BOOKS!!
She must have some clue on what she is doing considering how she has sooo many people young and old reading her books.
Remember this when you are complaining about what she has chosen for her series its none of your business.

Hey, just read your lil entry here, and although I attempted to leave an entry myself, couldn’t find out how to. So maybe I can pass my thoughts on through you. First I’d like to say, I couldn’t agree more with what you have to say! Not only is it her books to decide, she portaits the books as she sees would have the biggest impact on us.
Did no one honestly think that with Voldemort coming back, that not only the main 3, but EVERYONE wouldn’t be in danger of being killed? From the start everyone should have had the thought that one of those 3, if not Harry himself, would be gettin it in the end. All I can say is, I hope whoever goes down goes down with a fight!
I can’t personally wait to ready the last book. If someone dies, someone is gonna die. If it’s anything like the last books, the death will go down in history!!!
Again, I couldn’t agree more with your stance. JK will bring us the 7th and final book the way she has ALWAYS intended. With twists and turns that will make even skeptics read the book 7 times over!

Just a suggestion for JK Rowling; why not write two endings. Blue cover book is for the faint at heart where everyone lives happy ever after; Green cover is for reality check where her original plan to kill off someone still stands.

Ok, I’ve read about all the stuff harry potter fans have been doing since JKR said that two main charactors in the book are going to die, one possibly Harry. I am a devoted harry potter fan, and I cried when Dumbledoure died (sniff). But my veiw on things, is that things you do’t want to happen, happen. After anylising book 6 and the prophecy in book 5, and through reading editorials and blogs, I’ve come to a decision that I don’t even want to think about. Any major Harry Potter fan who has done there research would have seen this comming. I knew that major charactors would be killed off since Sirius died (sniff), and personally, I have had no faith in Harry serviving book seven since finishing the 6th book. I don’t like it, but it’s quite possibly fact, and I’m not going to attack JKR about it.

Ok so I agree that killing off Harry in the seventh book would be terrible because well what you think about it why would you want the “good-guy” to go?And Harry In the story has gone through so many things. But fans you must remember although I totally agree that killing off Harry would be like ruining the whole series she does have the right to do what she wants with the book and remember this is all just a story.

Excuse me, but I’ll thank you not to tell me what my opinion can be. I and every one else on this site has every right to think and say whatever they want about Rowling or the HP series and if you don’t like it, you can go elsewhere.

I don’t think that we are so much as giving you an opinion, as much as stating the obvious. I don’t think that Harry shood die, but i seriously think he will. JKR said at the end of book seven there would be no lose ends, and I’m sorry, but unless she wrote a 5000 page book, the only way to tie ~everything~ up, would be to kill harry. I still say that i can make a new book myself of just my questions for her, in which many can be answered by killing Harry.

Thank you so much for your opinion on this! So many people are fans of this series but yet they can’t trust the author enough to make a good decision?!!! Besides, I know this might be a shock to some of you but HARRY IS A FICTIONAL CHARACTER.If he dies there will be no actual death. I think that J.K. Rowling is a fabulour auther and whatever she chooses for Harry’s ending will be a worthwhile ending to the series - which is ending whether harry dies or not. Yes, I did cry when dumbeldore died but still it was done in a great way and it really added to the story and made me want to read the seventh book even more. I know whatever happens it will be great.

Yes, I agree 100%. JKR has the right to decide how to finish off her book since she, of course wrote it. Though as much as I like Harry, the character himself, I think I’d like to see a non-Hollywood ending for once because, honestly, it’s just too typical for the good guys to always end up winning. It’s just too predictable that way. But on the other hand, Harry fans aren’t willing to believe that Harry is really and truly dead after the reading the 7th book, if JKR really plans to finish off the story that way. So whatever ending the book has, people just have to learn to deal with the fact that yes, he or she is dead no matter how much they don’t want to believe it.

I am not super mad about jkr killing of harry but I think it is kind of ridiculous that she is killing him off because she does not want other authors picking up where she left. If she kills of voldemort that would be enough he is the inly reason the books are continuing. And also it is kina dumb that she is changing her idea from what it was in the beginning. When you have and idea you should stick with it. Some people are totally outraged that jkr might kill off harry but if it is what she wants to go ahead. But she should keep in mind that if you have an idea stick with it. Although I think it is so stupid she is worried someone will pick up where she left. She was too great i do not think another authors version will fly. What she should do though is what jrr tolkien did. Write notes about potter and her children can publish them in later years. Bottom line do what you want but keep in mind some little kids magcal imagination will end if Harry does.

I argree. the way i see it, harry IS a fictional charactor, and it will still be a good read. it doesn’t matter if harry dies, i still don’t want this to happen but, because there will be no more books n e way.

I think in my last note I was a little to mean. My point is they are her books but keep in mind she is a wonderful author and If anyone tried to pick up where she left off no one would buy it. It would be too fake jkr puts a certain touch into her books and it just draws you right in. Do what you want I will still read the books cuz I love them but no one will ever make a harry potter book greater than you. They would’nt have the same feel. The books are way too good

I didn’t want to be mean, i was just saying that no matter what happens within the story, there will be no more books to look forward to and therefore in a few years, the phenomonon will have decreased. her books will not lose their value because of the wonderful way she has brought the story to life and because they are awsome books. I love JKR’s work, but all I was pointing out is that weather Harry, for lack of a cheeser phrase, ‘kicks the cauldron’, everything will be over in the story, and there will be no more books to look forward to.

I totally agree. There will be no more books to look forword to. But If you look at it this way at least they happened. At least we got to read them for that we should be totally thankful. If they end i does not matter at least they were there. We got to read them and enjoy the story that is what counts.

yes totally agree. As a wise person once said, ‘ What will come will come, and we’ll jus thaveto face it when it does’. The end is so very near. (sniff)

I appreciate everyones comments but if anyone else feels “squashed” or anything else of the sort by my blog, I would just like to say that I stated my opinion! It was in no way my intention to hurt anyone with my blog. But perhaps this is being taken too seriously.
