Harry Potter Re-enacted By Thumbs!
Easy video-editing techniques, bad dialogue, terrible continuity problems and a distracting soundtrack.
I LOVE IT!
Proof that the truth is stranger than fiction: Harry Potter is a hit among Guantanamo detainees
I would have bet The Koran was the top book, but apparently detainees get a copy if and when they’re released.
From the U.S. Department of Defense’s “Ten Facts About Guantanamo” (Word Doc):
7. Departing detainees receive a Koran, a jean jacket, a white t-shirt, a pair of blue jeans, high top tennis shoes, a gym bag of toiletries, and a pillow and blanket for the flight home.
9. Entertainment includes Arabic language TV shows, including World Cup soccer games. The library has 3,500 volumes available in 13 languages — the most requested book is “Harry Potter.”
Obvious headline of the month: Bloomsbury buoyed by Potter magic
The release of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince in paperback payed huge dividends for the bottom line of book publisher Bloomsbury.
The group said the launch of the paperback edition of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince helped lift first-half revenues 6.5% to £37.3m.
Duh.
An attendee at Rupert Grint’s (Ron Weasley) 18th birthday has been arrested and charged with rape.
Joshua Lodge, of Hertford, is accused of an attack at a party in the village of Watton At Stone on Saturday September 9.
No official comment from Grint’s camp yet.
The title says it all: Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry made of Matchsticks.
Amazing!

Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling had a close call with airport security officials in New York, the author revealed on her website Wednesday. Officials initially tried to prohibit her from taking the unfinished manuscript of book 7 on board as carryon baggage, asking her to check the item instead. Recent terror alerts have heightened restrictions on carryon baggage.
Rowling was in New York August 1st for her charity reading at Radio City Music Hall with authors Stephen King and John Irving.
The author refused to part with her manuscript, saying, “A large part of it is handwritten and there was no copy of anything I had done while in the U.S.”
Ultimately security officials cleared the item for carryon, allowing her to take it on board bound up in elastic bands.
As we all probably know that It could have been Neville Longbottom instead of Harry Potter, if you wrote Harry Potter who would you rather have as the main character? And would you keep everything the same about them? Ex.If Nevile was the main character would he still be well in Herbology? I don’t have anything against this subject, I am just curious…..
It’s been said that the Warner Bros. have stated that if they included everything in the fifth movie it would be seven hours long. One thing we won’t be able to see is Ron Weasley playing quidditch.
“It would be wonderful to include every single page of the book. But as with previous Harry Potter films, elements have had to be omitted,” which is what a spokesperson for the film said.
Wow I guess there will be some changes.
As some of you may know, actress Susie Shinner has been cast as young Lily Potter in the upcoming Order of the Phoenix movie. For months, this image has been circulated as her picture. Well, it turns out that this photo is a fake and that’s not Susie Shinner. The real Susie Shinner is the one that appears to the left of this post.
I think I prefer the real Susie Shinner. She’s an actual redhead for one thing, and she looks young enough to be 15/16.
